Airport security products developer TraceGuard inaugurates new R&D Facility in Israel

TraceGuard Technologies, a developer of innovative security products for the airport security market, inaugurates a new research and development center in Petach Tikva, Israel. The Company plans to develop and test its first generation products that are targeted at the airport security field, in its new R&D Center.

“Our stated aim of helping major players provide greater protection to transportation hubs against terrorist threats has moved closer to reality with the opening of this new state-of-the-art facility,” said TraceGuard Chairman and CEO Dr. Ehud Ganani.

The Company plans to develop and test its first generation products that are targeted at the airport security field, in its new R&D Center. Working prototypes of TraceGuard’s CarrySafe explosive trace extraction system are already undergoing a comprehensive series of tests within the facility. CarrySafe is designed to fully automate the extraction of explosive traces during the security screening of carry-on luggage and other items in airports, subway stations and densely populated areas that face a high risk of terror attacks.

Additional products under development include the HoldSafe system, engineered to screen checked luggage and designed to be easily integrated into existing Computer Tomography Explosive Detection Systems( CT-EDS) luggage screening systems; and the CargoSafe screening system for palletized cargo, which is designed to be integrated into cargo screening systems. In the future, TraceGuard plans to integrate its proprietary technology into trace analysis systems in transportation terminals, border crossings, mail services, government buildings and food and pharmaceutical plants.

Domodedovo International Airport Introduces Multilevel Voice Analysis Technology

Domodedovo Airport, the largest airport in Russia, has successfully completed a four-month test of the “GK-1” access control system based on multilevel voice analysis technology. The system was developed by Israeli company Nemesysco and introduced on the Russian market by Israeli firm Urbis Management Systems & Software.

The system “GK-1” asks passengers, chosen to undergo tests, four questions, analyses psychological and emotional voice characteristics and makes a decision to channel them through the green or red corridors. The system “GK-1” conducts the interview in the automatic mode in a native language of a person under test (English, Russian, Tajik, Turkmenian, etc.).

The system “GK-1” will be used on the security lines, at the customs control and boarder control to prevent terrorist attacks, smuggling of weapons, ammunition supplies, explosives and poison gas, as well as illegal boarder crossing. Advantages of the “GK-1” control access system along with other measures will allow raising the level of aviation security at Domodedovo Airport.
