Intelligent video appliances provider ioimage announces launch of US operations
Israeli Intelligent video appliances provider, ioimage, announced it has established a US corporate office to bring its advanced intelligent appliances and related products to the North American security market.
ioimage offers a range of intelligent video encoders that quickly and cost-effectively convert analog cameras into smart IP surveillance cameras. Merkavim deploys ioimage intelligent video for preventing scrap metal theft
The outdoor surveillance camera is to protect the 100,000 square-meter Israel assembly plant. ioIMAGE units enable dozens of pan-tilt-zoom and stationary video surveillance cameras to automatically detect and autonomously track intruders and threats. The system seamlessly integrates with the existing loss prevention program to provide comprehensive physical-security in and around the site.

ioIMAGE to Showcase Intelligent Video Solutions at the Texas Instruments Developer Conference

ioIMAGE has achieved application intensive, video threat detection technology with digital media and multi security task capabilities in a compact hardware unit using the high-speed TI DM642 digital media processor. Using this DSP, ioIMAGE units convert analog surveillance camera signals into network streaming MPEG-4 video, data and audio as well as analyze video for multiple security scenarios.

NICE Systems buy FAST Video Security for approximately $21 million
NICE Systems has agreed to acquire FAST Video Security AG, a Swiss-based developer of innovative video systems for security and surveillance purposes, for approximately $21 million in cash. The deal, expected to close in early 2006, includes an additional $12 million based on performance milestones, payable over the next three years.
FAST will be integrated into NiceVision division of NICE, and become part of NICE’s strategic offering of services, products and solutions for the digital video security market. NICE and FAST will offer an extended portfolio of video products and solutions covering the entire digital video spectrum of video transmission/networking, management, recording and analysis.
The acquisition of FAST is expected to add $10 million to NICE's top-line in 2006, increasing the company's revenues guidance to $365-$373 million.

Samsung signed as the exclusive South Korea distributor for ioIMAGE intelligent video systems
