UK BMW car dealer deploys ioimage video analytics

Nick Whale, a UK BMW car dealership, has successfully installed ioimage video surveillance system to safeguard its outdoor sales site from theft and vandalism which added up to $1 million in damages a year.

The installation featuring advanced tracking and intrusion detection capabilities has already helped the Nick Whale dealership detect and remove several intruders from the premises. The group plans to deploy a similar system at additional car dealerships this summer.

Prior to turning to ioimage, the Nick Whale dealership had deployed an external passive sensor system that failed to deliver complete site coverage due to blockages caused by continuously moving stock. As a result, the dealership suffered an average of five thefts per year, with each incident involving up to five stolen cars. The ioimage solution provides the Nick Whale dealership with full coverage of the sales lot, which holds about 100 new and used cars worth some $4 million.

The Nick Whale Group is a leading English dealership specializing in high-end and sports cars. Ioimage provides high-performance video encoders and cameras with built-in analytics. ioimage offers a new approach to video security by transforming surveillance into a proactive, event-driven process.

US state department deployed ioimage's intelligent video solution to protect military compound in Afghanistan

US State Department has deployed ioimage’s video surveillance system at a compound in Kabul, Afghanistan to protect the facility from security breaches. ioimage's intelligent video appliances enable dozens of pan/tilt/zoom and fixed cameras to monitor activity outside the compound and to alert security guards to suspicious events and insurgent attacks.

The ioimage system is part of a new security solution that was installed at the compound by security systems integrator High-Ground. The project also included integrating ioimage’s system with infrared illuminators in poorly lit areas, a central command center, wiring and power generators.

“The ioimage video analytics solution was extremely easy to deploy,” said Tom Wiese, chief operating officer of High-Ground Corp. “We didn’t have any prior experience with ioimage’s intelligent video appliances, but it only took a few days to get the complete system up and running, including installation, configuration and integration of dozens of cameras located throughout the compound.”
